Lets start with the good news! I got the braz back that I'll use for a very special guitar resawed and sanded... the guitar is gonna be made for the traditional journeymans certificate that we have here in europe, its the way quality of workmanship is tested. Youll get a grade, a diploma and hopefully a little medal. The braz had some flaws when I resawed it, but that went away when sanding, so im as happy as can be!!

On the bad side, im trying to get some urethane laquer. I learned to use this laquer at Dana Bourgeois shop, and now want to convert from teh nitro ive used earlier. I have been mailing back and forth with McFadden, and they have quite a big minimum order size, and the shipping to sweden is gonna end at $300-400...

So, do you guys know of any other suppliers of Urethane that compares to the McFadden one, possibly here in europe?

Thanks a lot for your help

Lars, your pictures are not showing on my machine. Does anybody else see them?

Why do you want to spray urethane? I will be interested in hearing what you find out about other suppliers.

No pics here either.

As far as the Urethan goes, I don't know if buying in Canada would be any different, but you can try Chemcraft for polyurethan here and check out this recent post regarding lacquer here.

I've been getting the pictures from the start (IE 7). That wood looks mighty good, BTW.

Hmmm, tried to edit, but that wouldnt work... lets try this:

Thanks for the links Rod, but I guess shipping from canada would be approx the same as from US...

Arnt, the urethane was a different world from anything ive tried. Its fully cured in 10 days, which means no wet sanding, and it buffs out to a mirror shine gloss... It require more time at the buffer, but the result makes it worth it! The only downside is repairability, but hey, who ever said nitro was very easy to repeir with good results???

Hereis a guitar I made at Danas shop.

Lars, that's a really nice mirror you've made there.

I think I can see a guitar in the reflection
